Scripture says far more about sexual purity than about diet. If we take the body seriously, we cannot skip this.
The teaching
Biblical command- 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 — flee fornication; your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.
- 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 — sanctification includes how we treat our bodies and others'.
- Hebrews 13:4 — marriage is honourable.
Tone matters
- Scripture is direct about sin and generous with forgiveness (John 8:11).
- Shame does not produce holiness; grace and truth together do.

- The body is to be kept in purity, as belonging to God.

- Scripture does not treat the body as evil or shameful.
