FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers, including where the honest answer is 'Scripture does not say'.

Is this a diet?
This is a faith-centred learning platform that helps you read Scripture, give thanks and make thoughtful choices before God. It does not turn biblical passages into prescribed meal plans, portions or guarantees of health.
Are Christians bound by the Levitical food laws?
Christians disagree in good faith. Some hold the food laws were fulfilled in Christ (Mark 7; Acts 10; Romans 14; Colossians 2); others hold the distinction stands. We present both, and we do not rule for you.
Can I eat pork?
That depends on the question above, and on your own conscience before God. What Scripture is clear about is that we must not despise or judge each other over it (Romans 14).
Is fasting required for Christians?
Jesus says "when ye fast", assuming the practice, but Scripture sets no fixed calendar for believers. Fast for a purpose, in secret, and safely.
How do faith and medical care belong together?
Prayer, trust in God and responsible care need not be set against one another. Honouring the life entrusted to you includes seeking qualified medical guidance, especially if you are ill, pregnant, taking medication or have a history of eating disorders before changing how you eat or fast.
Which Bible translations do you use?
King James Version in English and the Károli Gáspár translation in Hungarian — both public domain. More can be added later.
Where is my progress stored?
On your own device only. Nothing you write in the reflection journal is sent anywhere or shown to anyone.
Will there be more languages?
The content is structured so that a language such as Romanian can be added without rebuilding the platform.
